Mangalore: Under-trial Prisoners Fight on Silly Pretext

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 30: On Friday October 29, four under-trial prisoners lodged in the district central jail here, fought with each other for frivolous reason.

It is gathered that one of the under-trials prisoners, Radhakrishna (40), was beaten up by four others. Sumesh, Tikki Mohan, Vittesh and Prakash have been identified as assaulters. The four assaulters were angry at the fact that foam formed in Radhakrishna’s mouth while brushing his teeth got sprinkled on Sumesh and others.

The jail superintendent and other officials intervened to stop the fight. As it was a minor incident, no police complaint was filed. The assaulters and Radhakrishna have now been accommodated in separate cells, jail officials said.
