Moodabidri Oct 30:  The department of Computer Science and Information Science of Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology(MVSIT) organized a seminar ‘Techlipse -10’at its premises, recently.

Surekha Shetty, director, PK4 Systems, Bangalore the chief guest gave a talk on ‘cloud computing’ and pointed out the importance of it in the present scenario. Dr Anathanaryana spoke about ‘data mining technologies and review’. Suryanarayana talked about ‘application development made easy using DOTNET technologies and tools’.

Dr Ananthanarayana, information technology department, NITK, Surathkal and Suryanarayana, DC-E&R manager, INFOSYS, Mangalore were the resource persons. Dr Ramagopal Shetty, secretary, M V Shetty Trust presided. Dr Sandeep Nayak, principal, MVSIT, Dr Chandrashekar Shetty, AO, M V Shetty Trust, Guruprasad and Mamatha were present.

Later, in the afternoon, Chaitra, talked about ‘parallel computing and its architecture’ followed by seminar from students.
