Mangalore: Syndicate Bank’s Operating Profit Jumps by 52%

Mangalore, Oct 30: The operating profit of Syndicate Bank for the half year ending September 30 this year has seen a quantum leap of 52% as compared to the same period last year.

The net profit of the bank reached 502.47 crores, a growth of 14% over last year. Income from other sources however, registered a negative growth, down Rs 447 crore from Rs 716 crore.

The total global turn over of the bank reached Rs 2,12,027 crore as at the end of September. This figure had stood at Rs 1,93,488 crore as at September last year. Deposits of the bank have risen to Rs 1,16,113 crore, while advances stand at Rs 95,914 crore, a release from the bank stated.
