Mangalore: Int'l Conference on Women and Mental Health Concludes at Roshni Nilaya

Mangalore, Oct 31: The valedictory ceremony of international conference on ‘Women and Mental Health’ organized by School of Work, Roshni Nilaya here in association with Flinders University, Australia, was held on Saturday, October 30.

Dr M Veerappa Moily, Union Law Minister, delivered the presidential address. Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MP, was the chief guest. Dr Olinda Periera, former principal, School of Social Work, director, Vishwa were the guests of honour.

The conference passed some resolution on the occasion. It was resolved by the present delegation that measures will be taken for establishment of more shelter homes, remedial measures in the form of various Acts and Policies, providing medical facilities, welfare measures and counselling centres under schools of social work in different parts of the country.
