Beltangady: Jain Milan at Dharmasthala Concludes with Discussions on Philosophy

Beltangady, Oct 31: The two-day zonal convention Bharatiya Jaina Milana drew to a close at Dharmasthala here on Sunday October 31.

Various speakers delivered talks on Jain philosophy and path to lead a righteous life on the occasion.

Dr S P Padmini Nagaraj, Rajarshree and Trishala Jain discussed the changing status of women in the context of globalization, education,  job etc.

In another session Dr Udayakumar Irvathhur, Vrishabharaj Jain and Sujatha Mudradi spoke on the duties of younger generation. Vimala Sumathi Kumar and Padmaprasad Hegde moderated the sessions. Anitha Surendra Kumar felicitated the guests on the occasion.

Swastisri Laliha Bhattaraka Swamiji of Karkala Jain Math blessed the convention and expressed his wish that Jain religion, rituals and spirit be preserved for the good of the society, while appreciating the efforts of the organisers of Jaina Milana in this regard.

Trainee Rahul Kapoor delivered a lecture on  individual development. D Surendra Kumar presided over the programme while M M Rajendra, president, DCC Bank was the chief guest.

State working president K Prasanna Kumar, Pushparaj Jain, M S Mrutyunjaya and others were present. Units for their service to the society.
