Mangalore, Nov 1: Several places in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received good rains on Sunday October 31. Places like Kateel, Subrahmanya and Sullia experienced rains coupled with thunder and lightning. Many places within Mangalore, Beltangady, Bantwal and Karkala taluks received light rains.

Subrhamanya recorded a rainfall of seven cms. In a prediction that is valid till Tuesday morning, the meteorological department has said that a few places in the coast and some more in the hinterlands may receive some rains.
