Kasargod, Nov 1: The body of a woman was found hanging from the ceiling of her residential house in Mogral Puttur near here on the night of Saturday October 30. Fausia (23), who was living in a rented house in Arafat Nagar in Mogral Puttur, was alone at the house when the tragedy occurred.

Fausia, wife of Abdulla, was living alone in the village, as her husband runs a business concern in Hubli. She had married Abdulla four years ago. Fausia had rented the house two weeks back.

The neighbours, growing suspicious about the fact that Fausia was not to be seen around for several hours at a stretch, knocked at her door on Saturday night. As the door was locked from inside, they broke open the door, to find the lady’s body hanging from a rope tied to the ceiling.

As the death of the woman was caused under suspicious circumstances, the policemen have referred her mortal remains to Periyaram Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
