Mangalore, Nov 1: A one- day workshop on 'Soft skills training' was jointly organized here by MUCTA and A J Institute of Management for commerce lecturers working in colleges affiliated to Mangalore Universities, recently.

Professor Eranna, Joint director, department of collegiate education inaugurated the workshop. In his presidential address, he stressed on the fact that the lecturers should change themselves according to the present conditions. He also wished that lecturers could take up the responsibilities of preparing students to suit the changes that are happening in the educational field as well as in the workplace.
 
Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director, A J Institute of Management appreciated the theme of the workshop and lauded MUCTA for training the teachers in bringing the best out of the students.
 
Dr Anuradha, president of MUCTA, introduced the guests to the delegates and gave a brief insight into the day’s workshop.
 
The resource persons for the workshop were Dr P S Yadapadithaya, registrar-evaluation, Mangalore University, Major Radhakrishna, M G M College, Udupi and Ragina Dinesh.
 
As many as 100 delegates from 70 colleges took part in the workshop. Dr Shridhar Maniyani, secretary, MUCTA, proposed the vote of thanks.
