Mangalore: Thieves Steal Gold, Cash Worth Two Lac Rupees

Mangalore, Nov 1: Unidentified thieves, who sneaked into a house located in Mallur Deralakatte, decamped with cash and valuables worth about two lac rupees. The incident occurred on the night of Saturday October 30.

In a complaint filed with the Konaje police station, Mohammed Nazir said that the thieves had taken away gold and silver ornaments, mobile phone and Rs 10,000 in cash, when he was sleeping in his house in Mallur Deralakatte. He said, he had closed his concern, ‘Online Super Bazar’ on the night of Saturday, before coming home and sleeping after having dinner. He said that before sleeping, he had closed both the front and rear doors. He said that on getting up on Sunday morning, he found the rear door having been opened and the valuables kept inside the locker been stolen by the thieves, dulyopening its lock.

Nazir’s uncle, Rehman, is on Haj pilgrimage. A case was registered by Konaje policemen. Investigation has begun.
