Mangalore: Moily Directs Fixing of Time Frame for Road Repairs

Mangalore,Nov 2: Union law and justice minister, M Veerappa Moily, inspected stretches of national highways 17, 13 and 48, which have become wretched and hence posing challenges for vehicle drivers.

He expressed dissatisfaction at the delay in executing the widening work of the national highway 17 between Suratkal and B C Road. He asked Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner, Subodh Yadav, who accompanied him, to fix time frame for completing the road works.

P N Gavasani, officer of National Highways Authority of India, promised to complete the repair works of national highway 17 between Nantoor and Talapady by November 7.

Former MP, Vinay Kumar Sorake, MLA, U T Khader, former MLA, Vijay Kumar Shetty, president of State Bus Owners Union, Rajavarma Ballal and several others were present.
