Puttur: Unidentified Woman Found Murdered

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Nov 2: An unidentified woman was found to have been murdered in a macabre way at Addole in Shiradi village in the taluk on Monday November 1. The policemen have so far not been able to establish the identity of either the woman or the killer.

The body of the woman was found lying in a canal of a plantation, two metres away from the national highway 48 on a road leading to a village at Addole. The woman is about 25 years old. Black trousers and a jerkin were found on her body, and earlobes were found to be hanging from her ears.

The murder appears to be for some revenge. The killer has, apart from slitting the throat of the woman, also crushed her face with a boulder. After throwing the body into the canal, he dropped a boulder on her face. Some passers-by saw the body and alerted the policemen.
