Kundapur, Nov 3: New Kannada fortnightly ‘Chakravarthi’ was released during a function held at Ramachandra Kalyana Mandira here, recently.

Dr H V Narasimhamurti, retired professor, Bhandarkar’s College, released the fortnightly and said that newspapers play a vital role in the common man’s life.

Speaking on the occasion, K Nagaraj, president, Ramakshatriya Association, said that Chakravarthi would tread a new path in disseminating news as per the taste of the common man.

Y Sharath Kumar Shetty, lawyer Ravikiran Murdeshwar, and Agricultural Co-operative Bank president K Dinakar Kothwal, were present on the dais.

The taluk working journalists’ Association president Vinay A Pais presided over the programme. Umesh, editor, Chakravarthi, delivered the introductory address. Sridevi rendered the prayer song while Ramachandra B N proposed the vote of thanks.
