Mangalore, Nov 5: The athletic team of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has emerged overall champions at the VTU level Athletic Meet held at AIT, Chikmagalur, recently.

It is notable that the college competed with 104 colleges and 1,500 athletes who took part in the sports meet.

In the boys section, the college emerged as overall winners and in the girls section overall runners-up. Shruthi S Shetty became the individual champion in the girls section. Apart from this, the college has created a new meet record in 4x400 metres relay wherein Sahyadrians broke the previous record of 3:42:59 minutes by 3:40:34 minutes.
