Udupi: MIC Alumni Meet, Recall Memories on Talents' Day

Udupi, Nov 6: Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), Manipal University here held its exclusive alumni meet and talents’ day recently. About 80 alumni from participated in the event.

Thronging their alma mater from various places, the alumni recalled their nostalgic memories of their years in MIC and shared their professional experience with the current students.

The sudden incidental appearance of super-hit film Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap and his crew at the venue added much cheer to the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion Manipal University registrar Dr G K Prabhu, student affairs director Dr Padmaraj Hegde and former chairman of Prasar Bharathi M V Kamath explained how alumni could contribute to the strength of an educational institute.

MIC director Varadesh Hiregange announced that the alumni meet, henceforth, would be a regular annual affair. Programme coordinator H S Shubha recalled the contribution of MIC alumni to the growth of the Institute.

The event was followed by dance and music performances by the students.
