Puttur: Janardan Poojary Unaware of Electoral Understanding with JDS

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Dec 28: “I am not aware that out of 22 taluk panchayat constituencies in Puttur taluk, Congress has fielded only 21 candidates, and that the party candidate from Kutruppady constituency had been withdrawn to make room for direct fight between the JDS and the BJP,” confessed former union minister, Janardan Poojary. He was speaking to reporters here on Monday December 27.

He said he will bring this fact to the attention of the district Congress president and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president on this issue, besides recommending to the party high command to call for explanation from Kadaba block Congress.

Poojary analyzed that if the BJP succeeds in securing majority in the taluk and zilla panchayat elections, it will be the victory of corruption the Chief Minister is involved with, and defeat of opposition parties, media and the Lokayukta. He alleged that the BJP is planning to sabotage the election results through ulterior ways like distribution of money and liquor among the voters.

Blaming Yeddyurappa for claiming to be the sculptor behind BJP’s victory in the state, he questioned as to whether the activists and other leaders of that party had not worked hard for the party’s success. He accused the Chief Minister for behaving like an autocrat, and being intoxicated with power.

Dakshina Kannada former zilla panchayat president, B Sankappa Rai, party leaders, N Sudhakar Shetty, A Hemanath Shetty, and Bondala Jagannath Shetty, were present.
