Sportsmen can do a lot for our society.
I think New Zealand's Chris Cairns has shown so nicely what sportsmen can do to better society. Everyone looks at a sportsman for something special always and the public cannot be faulted for that. Chris Cairns has his heart in Mangalore and I only wish many more like him land in the coastal town sooner than later. There can be such healthy development in every sphere of activity including sports, health care and also assistance to the handicapped and underpriveleged.
Like Cairns, Aussie Steve Waugh is doing similar charitable work in India in a big way and one has to wholeheartedly laud these men for their noble and selfless work. May more like them emerge in our country. Can we say Cairns cares for everyone ?
