Mangaluru: Three arrested for selling banned MDMA drugs

Mangaluru, Nov 26: Three individuals accused of selling the banned drug MDMA were arrested near Kambalapadavu in Pajir village during an operation led by ACP Dhanya Nayak and the anti-drug team.

The arrested include Gautam (22) from the Mary Church compound in Talapady, Karthik (27) from near Hanuman Temple in Kumpala, and Nikhil (28) from near Ganesh Temple in Ganesh Nagar, Thokkotu.

The police seized 50 grams of MDMA worth approximately Rs 1.5 lac, a car used for selling the drugs, three mobile phones, a digital weighing scale, and a glass pipe. The total value of the seized items is Rs 7,76,980, according to the police.

The accused were caught red-handed with MDMA in a car at an industrial deserted area in Pajir under the jurisdiction of Konaje police station. A case has been registered at the Konaje police station.
