Mangaluru, Aug 20: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, successfully organised Traditional Day PARAMPARA 2026 on August 18 at the Aviation campus, Srinivas University, Hampankatta, celebrating the rich cultural heritage, traditions, art, and diversity of India.
The programme commenced with a prayer and was inaugurated by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, through the traditional inaugural ritual. As part of the celebration, VIVIDH exploring the forgotten roots of tradition was organized, featuring individual and group ramp walk competitions.
A total of 12 individual participants and 13 teams from BBA aviation management and BBA aviation & logistics management enthusiastically participated, showcasing the traditional attire, customs, and cultural heritage of different regions of India.











The celebration created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere on the campus, bringing students and faculty members together in the spirit of unity and cultural appreciation. Students enthusiastically participated in traditional attire and performances, reflecting the diverse customs and artistic traditions of various parts of India. The programme encouraged students to connect with their cultural roots, develop confidence and creativity, and understand the importance of preserving India’s rich heritage.
The celebration also included the valedictory programme, during which prizes for the ‘SWARANJALI’ singing competition, ‘TAAL’ dance competition, and ‘VIVIDH’ were distributed. Second year BBA aviation management emerged as the overall winner, while second year BBA aviation & logistics management secured the runner-up position in PARAMPARA 2026.
The event provided students with an opportunity to appreciate India’s diverse cultural traditions while encouraging creativity, confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of cultural pride.
PARAMPARA 2026 thus served as a meaningful platform for celebrating ‘Unity in Diversity’ and fostering a deeper appreciation for the country’s cultural legacy among the student community. The programme was conducted successfully under the guidance and support of the Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, SWO, HODs, faculty members, student coordinators, volunteers, and staff members of the Institute of Aviation Studies.
