Kuwait, Mar 12: The sixth edition of the popular event 'Proud to Be Kuwaiti' (P2BK) was launched on Tuesday February 2013 at Kuwait International Fair Ground in Mishref.
Due to high demand for participating in this huge event, the organizers this year built an entire village on a 20,000 square meter area instead of holding it in a hall as they used to do earlier. The event will remain open for 14 days for public from 10 am to 10 pm.
The P2BK is an annual event that features the talents of Kuwait's brightest and most innovative young minds, in their own chosen field of enterprise. The entry for the exhibition is free and open to all nationalities.
The exhibition includes all kinds of activities such as food and beverage, outfits, photography, perfumes, accessories, books, toys, home accessories, games etc. Also different musical and theatre performances take place every evening. The huge tents, sand sculptures, graffiti arts on the walls and traditionally built shopping area are the special attraction of this year.
It consists Bonashi Cafe which hosts about 20 fast food restaurants, AlFartha Port with about ten cafes, two stages for entertainment programs, quizzes and other activities, Al Dasma Kids Zone with football field, tents, games and etc, different creative sand sculptures of different Kuwaiti tradition and monuments, large tents and booths designed in a typical Kuwaiti tradition, Camel Zone, shopping zone etc. It is worth watching with family and an event to remember. The huge Kuwaiti flag at open area outside the exhibition painted by palm impression looks like a Guinness world record attempt.
Revealing an array of Kuwaiti's small and medium entrepreneurs, P2BK's aim was to support and guide these emerging revolutionary minds into the enticing world of entrepreneurship.
P2BK provided a platform for the youth in Kuwait to meet up and interact in a healthy business-oriented environment. It was an opportunity for bigger companies to contribute and help the smaller businesses to showcase their products.
First launched in 2008 by Dhari Al Wazzan, a prominent young Kuwaiti businessman, 'Proud 2 be Kuwaiti' is a non-profit organization founded to promote businesses by young entrepreneurs.
