Kejriwal targets BJP, Congress at first election rally

Rohtak (Haryana), Feb 23 (IANS): The AAP launched its Lok Sabha campaign here Sunday, with former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal launching a bitter attack on the BJP and the Congress.

Addressing thousands at a ground here, the Aam Aadmi Party leader warned that the country was headed towards another round of price rise because of what he said were the government's faulty gas pricing policies.

Kejriwal, whose family hails from Haryana, particularly targeted Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda of the Congress.

Accusing Hooda of taking over land from farmers and selling them to realty companies, the AAP founder leader called the Haryana chief minister "a property dealer".

"He has sold huge quantity of land to Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi," Kejriwal said, recalling allegations he first made in October 2012.

Hooda has also sold land to major industrial houses, he said.

Kejriwal said the AAP was trying to change the corruption-ridden system.

"We are with farmers and soldiers," he thundered in his 30-minute speech. "Farmers get a compensation of Rs.10 for the loss of crops. Military personnel get paid Rs.1-2 lakh for sacrificing their lives for the nation. But cricketers receive Rs.1 crore for winning a match!

"Why don't families of soldiers who sacrifice their lives also get Rs.1 crore as compensation? This will be part of our party manifesto," said the AAP leader who was chief minister in Delhi for 49 days.

Kejriwal accused both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of colluding with industrialist Mukesh Ambani to raise gas prices.

"From April 1, the new gas pricing of eight dollars will be implemented. This will result in a big price rise.

"The Aam Aadmi Party is fighting the politician-industrialists nexus," he said.

Kejriwal said media houses were being forced to write against his party.

The AAP, he said, will contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana and also field candidates in all 90 assembly seats in October this year.

Kejriwal and party colleague Yogendra Yadav said Haryana would be the next focus state for their party after Delhi.

Dear Mr Abdul D’Souza - Sir, you have totally misunderstood it. What AK has written is ‘if you are elected as PM, what is your stand on Gas pricing’. Everyone has the right to know what is Modi’s views on this. Furthermore, this is directed more towards his party rather than individually to Modi because who knows Modi will be PM or not – even though there is Modi wave. Right now, everywhere we hear Modi, Modi, Modi. A party which is banking just on one person (Modi), God only must save us.

But Modi will not open his mouth (although it is open 24 hours – pun intended) because these are the big Corporates that finance BJP campaign.

Whichever party comes, may there be a peaceful, corruption-free, non-communal society.

    Dear Jossie,

I agree with your views. Time and again, AK have been saying that he is not interested in wealth or position, but his main issue is a corruption free nation. I wish that his efforts will not be a voice in the wilderness. With enormous amount of ill-gotten wealth and sycophantic followers, for both Congress and BJP, AK seems to me a Lilliputian and not David is fighting with Goliath. However, it looks his AAP is going to give a tough time to these people.

WOW what a speech. Very impressive. After 1975 I am hearing the first kind of speech of my life. This man can change the scenario of India. He is truly called "Modern Gandhi". Shame on Media that has ruined this country. They showed Rahul's and Modi's speech, but not Kejriwal. Corrupted people, mind and it is time that people like us that should crush them. Congress, BJP and other family fiefdom parties and Media have to live in fear that the Modern Gandhi has come to remove the corrupted people from this country. They should be driven out from India like the Britishers. India is a land of faith, land of beauty, Land of Love and Goodness and we need good people.

Kejriwal and his team is new to this political business,to do a business, you need experts, their views and mainly collective team work which is totally missing part here, blame game it is easy to everyone of us but in reality it is otherwise!!!.A personal view still Kejriwal and his team is immature team in this game ,they need time they need more experience and need more support from the common man.Kejriwal his intention thinking maybe good keeping the common man in mind but his approach to the problem/solution bit questionable by everyone!!!.

    Dear Mr.Dramabazz Kejriwal,

I have seen your letter to the one of the prospective PM candidate namely Mr. Narendra Modi, regarding the Central Govt's police of doubling the Gas price by Reliance. However, I was unable to understand that why did you write such letter to the leader of the opposition party, when it is the Ruling party which involved in policy making.

In last year June-July there was a open debate in the parliament by BJP and Left parties about this issue and Matter has been then taken to the court. current there are 2 PILs in Supreme court today for hearing. Were you aware of this fact before making such allegations.

Further, you wrote such letter to a CM of one State and not to every CM of the coutry, Were you not aware that Mr. Modi is neither a leader of the opposition nor a MP. and CM of the state has no role in policy making, It is Central govt involved in making such Policy.

In your letter you specifically Mentioned Mr. Modi, Where he has already fought for the same cause against Central Govt and approached the court (Times of india July 3rd Edition)and got a stay order as well. Mr. Modi already made up his stand, Then being a elected representative of the people why are you misleading the public with wrong information. your agenda looks like fighting election against Modi with spreading the wrong message to the public.

I Dont have Money to print 10 crore copies of the page, But i will share this with social media and also ask your help to spread it with your friends too..

I hope you will be kind to answer the questions Raised here..

    Yours Truly,

    Proud Indian....

Kejriwal after running away from delivering, has lost a golden opportunity. People will support him, because they don't want themselves seen as fools. Same goes with BJP, they talk big and deliver nothing. Bofors was a big drama years back which gave power to BJP. Once in power they conviniently forgot Bofors. They did a great dis-service to the nation, as no major modernization took place for 2 decades. Yet, it is the same bofors they relied on to win Kargil. Then comes, Ram Temple, nothing happened there as well, except for RSS VHP people making money for 1brick for the temple campaign. After coming to power they forgot. People have short memory and that is the weapon BJP uses at its best. If congress has looted the country for 60years, why on earth Modi is building a statue of sardar patel, a congressman? No doubt congress is lethargic, but it can be corrected. I support congress as I find it is on a correction course. Hardest of times is at the times of correcting self for better. Congress is facing it now.

Instead of making an allegation against BJP or Congress at least try to join the Politics College so that you can understand the meaning of Indian Politics. Delhi People shown huge faith on you but you ditched them when it comes to deliver. I watched the debate yesterday on ABP News .The AAP rep was not even knowing what is KG Basin ( She was calling it as Kaveri-Godavari basin actually it should be Krishna -Godavari basin) Ad I have worked there I shall give some info for the benefit of readers
1.In KG Basin there are 2 types of wells Shallow and deep .Deep wells exploration cost is high and hence reliance is asking for high price .
2.Europe's Gas import price is USD 11 .Only USA has gas price USD 4 as they have their own resource
3.Afterall Ambanis are businessmen nobody can expect them to do business for free.Gas exploration is sone by ONGC also there .Huge investment is required for exploration .If you remove Reliance from there some Foreign company will come and demand higher price than this .
3.AAP has received huge donation from FORD are they working for FORD?

    DR. Kamath,

Then why Reliance agreed for USD 2/= & made agreement for 17 years exploration. Do you agree what AK said when a farmer does his work for a landlord and want to sell the output at market price to the landlord, Is it justified. Gas well belongs to the Government. Why they dont follow the agreement? Who will bear the additional cost? BJP? or Congress?. With regard to National Issues, like coal, mining , Gas/Oil exploration, your view must be impartial instead your view is of BJP.

The production cost of Gas in KG Basin is less than 1 USD average ,,, this shallow and deep well is designed to pull wool on the common people's eye....

Good choice of battle. Sure to win Haryana because of serious corruption issues of Congress.

For that matter wherever AAP contests seats they got the upper hand because in reality no other party can genuinely claim it is corruption-free. Every party is immersed in it. I was thinking BJP could have a cake walk by showing finger towards Congress on the issue of corruption.

But that was before Yeddyurappa re-entered !

What about the Gujarat Government's reluctance to have the Lokayukta and then diluting its powers.
What about Reddys' languishing in jail who were sent to jail not by the BJP but because of Justice Santosh Hegde's efforts in spite of stiff resistance.
Why you guys fall for Feku's ranting ? You'll only see corruption in the Congress. My friend corruption will not go away just like that. Go to any government office now or after the elections - you will see it everywhere, at every level and in every state - Ration shop, RTO office, municipality, property sale, police station etc.etc.
