Dubai, Sep 8 : It was a day of great rejoicing and celebration when over 8000 Konkani speaking devotees from the coastal belt of India mainly hailing from Mangalore gathered today at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubai  today from 10.00 am onwards

Fr. Fedrick D'Souza offered the holy mass.




It was a nostalgic and memorable scene to watch the little children come dressed in their best colorful attire to adore and honour Mother Mary with their floral offerings a symol of their love and affection for her. Alongwith their parents and loved ones, they were all in a festive mood to celebrate the traditional "Montifest".



Ther newly harvested corn "Novem" was blessed and later distributed to the gathering.




Members of SMKC Dubai were at the helm of affairs in the arrangements for this function.
