M'lore: Max NY Life Insurance to Focus on Middle Class Segment

Mangalore, Jan 23: Max New York Life Insurance Company, one of the leading insurance companies in India will be directing its focus on the middle class segment and rural areas of the country in the coming days, informed A P S Bhalla, zonal head of the company. 

Speaking to media persons in the city on Tuesday, January 22 he said that there are around 10 crore middle class households which are considered as under-served markets. It includes farmers, drivers, maids etc. Max NY Life Insurance Company will be introducing less expensive insurance schemes for these groups, he added. 

"Insurance is a knowledge-based intensive business. It is the job of insurance agents to explain clearly to the customer about the need for insurance. Therefore, the company gives more prominence towards the training of its agents. Max New York Life Insurance Company is the only company which has an in-house training facility for its agents in all the branches and 100 hours of training made compulsory for every agent," he informed. 

As of  date the company has settled 94% of the claims within 15 days and settled all the claims within 30 days. In fact the company places more emphasis on customer service. This company has around 30,000 agents in the country and 100 agents in the city. Appointment of two lac agents in the country and 1,000 agents working under the city branch is the target of the company, Bhalla informed describing his company's long term goals.
