Mangalore, May 13: The annual general body meeting of Kanara Builders' Association was held at 7.30 pm on Monday May 12 at Hotel Taj Manjarun.
The outgoing president D B Mehta gave a brief account of activities undertaken during his tenure. Felix Albuquerque, chairman of city unit of Builders' Association of India, was also present.
Thereafter, the new office-bearers were installed. P M A Razak, chairman of PLAMA Group took over as the president of Kanara Builders’ Association, Alfred Manohar as secretary and Oswald D'Silva as treasurer.
P M A Razak, in his welcome address, thanked the members for electing him as the new president. He briefed the members on various developmental activities that will be taken up for the welfare of the building industry, plans for new programmes, exhibitions and seminars on brand ‘Mangalore’, in order to attract investment opportunities as well as to speed up the infrastructure of the city.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Oswald D'Silva.
