Bangalore: Mangalorean Girl Sushma Lewis secures Rank in BDS

Bangalore, Feb 15: Mangalorean girl Sushma Nora Lewis, daughter of Herman Lewis and Nisheta Lewis of Radio Spice 105.4 fame has secured the 10th rank in her Third year Dental course(BDS) in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore for the academic year of 2008.
This is her second time achievement of securing a Rank in the University. She had secured Sixth rank in the Rajiv Gandhi university of Health Sciences in General Pathology in her second year of BDS Course during the year 2007.
She is currently pursuing her final year BDS studies at the R.V.Dental College, Bangalore.
Speaking to daijiworld, Sushma humbly owes her success first to the Almighty GOD, followed by her parents, her grandparents, her teachers, her brother Sundeep and sister Sumeetha, Vinaya, Indira. her aunty Leena and Uncle Vincent .
She pursued her late grandfather Sylvester Lewis's dream and dedicates her achievements in his fond memory.
She was brought up in Dubai since she was little, began her kindergarten at Dubai Gem and later was a student of The Indian High School, Dubai till she graduated in the 12th Std. in the year 2005.
She has excelled not only in academics but also in sports and other extracurricular activities. Some of her achievements are:
- Choreographing Dances . Secured the first place in all her 4 years in the RV dental College and intercollegiate meet.
- She has represented the college in debates and many presentation workshops
- She plays the Piano – completed five grades under the Trinity college of Music, London.
Plays badminton – represented her school from the gulf to the National Championship series in Nagpur .
- Her other interests are swimming, throw ball, cookery, and karate.
- She has won many cookery competitions.
- She also actively gets involved with the Radio as a voice over, and contributes with her creativity whenever she is in Dubai during her holidays. Sushma is also a fond lover of animals.
