Abu Dhabi, Jan 2: Employees of shops and restaurants in Abu Dhabi are no longer required to undergo PCR tests every 24 days if they have received vaccination for coronavirus.

The announcement was made by the officials via a social media post. The department of economic development in Abu Dhabi (ADDED) stated that the new rule applies to all residents who work at restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, bakeries, malls and shopping centres, butcheries, and other retailers.

However, regular COVID tests will remain mandatory for employees who are not yet vaccinated, and establishments are required to bear the testing costs.
