Ayodhya verdict: CM Confident People will Maintain Peace

Bangalore, Sep 20 (PTI): Describing the people of Karnataka as ''peace-loving'', Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa expressed confidence that they would maintain peace irrespective of the outcome of court verdict on the contentious Ayodhya title suit.

"Everybody would accept the court verdict on the Ayodhya issue and the state has taken all precautions to maintain peace," he said.

In an advisory recently, the Union Home ministry asked all states to give "topmost priority" to maintaining law and order in view of the September 24 verdict of Allahabad High Court.
Yeddyurappa said the people of Karnataka are "peace loving" and they would maintain peace irrespective of the fact whether the verdict went in favour or against anyone.

"I am confident that people, irrespective of their caste, would honour the court verdict and would not give room for any confrontation," he said.

Its not only the people of Karnataka but the people all across India are peace lovers and we all want peace. Its no point telling the Indian people to maintain peace. Its better to tell the politicians and their political minds and their so called forces,to maintain peace, if they maintain peace then whatever the verdict maybe the Country will be peaceful noone will even point a finger at the verdict or raise their voices against it.

For your kind information, VHP, Rama Sene and Bajrang Dal do not represent the hindu community of India. These organizations are nothing but a bunch of robbers, goons and women beaters. If they are patriotic, let them go to the border and fight with the enemies of this country.

    Shame on you!

Mr. Perera, why did those uneducated groups vandalise most sacred worship places of minority? You have an answer?

I guess we all know why that unwanted incident happened.

Im surprised no mention of SIMI, Badri Dal etc anywhere.

Oh come on how come these educated people of Mangalore blame only Bajrang Dal? Where are those ppl who posted pamphlets on Babri Masjid demolition thing last year? You must not expect peace or co operation from one side.

@Louis D'Souza: On what basis are you telling Yeddi is dividing people of Karnataka into pieces?

Ayodhya thing in '92 was a movement for justice, sadly ended in unwanted results. Don't predict things here. If one religion is hurt in some ways, the aggression comes out in one or the other way. Our parties have been spending all-out in gaining minority votes wooing them. Shame on those too.

And speaking on "Bajrangdal, VHP etc to take law into their hands start butchering the minorities and the Police will be the silent spectator. This has been done in the past in Mangalore.", you must well be knowing why such things happened in Mangalore in the past. Without a reason? No don't you know it?

My only friends were Hindus, I had many working for me were only Hindus but after BJP/RSS government in karnataka everything has changed.I don't trust them . Although majority Hindus are peaceful it those few from RSS that are mischief makers. And if these mischief makers are not reined in then this country will be in sorry state of affairs. God bless from the Chinese and the Pakis

Well said Mr. Peter Pereira, Yeddi is dividing people of Karnataka into pieces. I am afraid Yeddi n his RSS team will order his men from Bajrangdal, VHP etc to take law into their hands start butchering the minorities and the Police will be the silent spectator. This has been done in the past in Mangalore.

Undoubtedly people of Karnataka - especially the minority is peace loving. Otherwise, the streets would have been filled with blood when the animals of certain uncivilised, uneducated, jobless groups vandalised most sacred worship places of minority under the blessing of impotent Yeddy Govt. Yeddy, control your animals first and then request others to maintain peace.

Mr. CM you are so lost in the political world that you forgot humanity. Your are out of your brain. What more I can say. I can only laugh at your confidence and statements made by you.

Kindly maintain peace at any cost. We Indians are religious people but one can connect to GOD from anywhere and everywhere. One need not have a materialistic God’s home instead the God’s home should be in one’s heart. The teaching of one’s religion should come from our heart and not by show-off or through bloody inter-religious competition to find who is in the top.

India is having so many drawbacks like over-population, Chalta hai nature, unhygienic environement etc… etc. and so many burning problems like starvation, malnutrition, no clean drinking water, no sanitation, no health centre, no roof over the head, no decent piece of clothe to cover the body, no school, no oldage home etc... etc. Still our priority is fight for religious superiority.
Think it over with cool mind and question yourself whether is it worth fighting in the name of religion and destroying one another? Let us all live and let others too live with their religious belief.

VHP and Bajrang Dal are patriotic organisations and have never indulged bomb blasts.

It is the Jihadis who are indulging in terrorism and anti national activities.

Hindus gave protection to Jews, Parsis and others who were uprooted from their motherland. It is a tragedy that they now need protection in their own country.

The same what kalyan singh told when Babari masjid was demolished by fundamentalists. We have no hope the government of karnataka will give security for minorities and Karnataka people were peace lovers but not are. so we request related police officers and related departments must some complicated areas and give tight security exspecially D.K and Udupi. Each and everybody obey the court order and If the judgement is not fevour can step up above court.

Many experts feel if the verdict goes in favour of the Muslims, then the Congress could gain politically, provided it ensures that the losing side quickly adopts the legal means to take the case to the Supreme Court. The Congress party would also need to ensure that it reflects the sensitivity of the Hindu community.
