Asian Fraudsters Held in Riyadh

RIYADH, Feb 8 (Arab News): Special security forces in Riyadh arrested a group of Asians involved in forging iqamas (resident permits) and government documents.

The forces raided the fraudsters’ hideouts after receiving information about their suspicious and illegal activities, a security source said.

Security officers seized 26 forged iqamas, five forged driving licenses and a government department seal.

The fraudsters were operating from a bakery to mislead security agents. Police also arrested two expatriates with forged iqamas inside the bakery.

In one of their hideouts in Batha, police found an Asian maid who had run away from her sponsor. They also seized various devices used by the alleged criminals to forge important documents.

Among the things confiscated from the fraudsters were 400 iqamas, 17 driving licenses, four vehicle licenses, a computer, three printers and 14 laminating machines.

I would request Saudi Government to be clean & clear on the VISA procedure like UAE. Till date people working does not know how do they get visa. Moreover if there is any ministry work, only the local sponsor has to do it. In the case of passport renewal also. But in UAE most of the work is done by expatriate. If the Ministry Makes the Procedures transperent then there will no chance of duplicating the Documents in SAUDI ARABIA. 1 work visa for saudi is been charged for more than Rs150,000.
