Bengaluru, Oct 27: Launching the ambitious Panchajanya Rath Yatra of JD(S) from Basavanagudi, JD(S) legislature party leader H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday claimed that “This time, our Government.”

Promising to establish Kempegowda Skills Education University in Magadi if the JD(S) came to power, the former Chief Minister asked party workers to ensure that JD(S) is able to win at least 10 to 12 seats in Bengaluru.

“Let the Congress undertake Bharat Jodo or any other kind of Yatra and BJP go on Sankalpa or any other type of Yatra. But it is certain that JD(S) will come to power in 2023,’’ he said predicting: “This time, it is our Government.”

Kumaraswamy said both ruling BJP and Congress are sinking in corruption and warned the party workers to be careful as people will come to distribute their ill-gotten wealth. They will offer Rs 2000 per vote or other freebies, which is nothing but ill-gotten wealth, he said.

The JD(S) leader said all sections of people, especially those belonging to the poorer and deprived sections must get modern and quality education. All grama panchayats and wards must have the facility to provide quality education and healthcare facilities, he said.

The former chief minister said the BJP is trying to fool the people by chanting the mantra of Bengaluru’s founder Kempe Gowda by erecting his statue at BIAL and developing a theme park in his name while ignoring the plight of the people and poor. People is good education, healthcare facilities, food and shelter, he said.
