Udupi: District youth Congress to hold tricolour bike rally on October 29

Udupi, Oct 27: District Youth congress will hold a tricolour flag bike rally at 2 pm on October 29 here as part of India’s 75th Independence Day celebrations.

District youth Congress president Deepak Kotian Inna told reporters that 5,000 to 6,000 people are expected to participate in the rally.

District Congress spokesperson Chandrapal Nakre said that this is a non-political rally and youngsters from all the taluks in the district will arrive to take part in it. “It is our duty to remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for independence on the occasion of the platinum jubilee celebrations. The rally will start from Inna, Karkala and progress via Belman, Nitte and Karkala market and conclude at Bandimat, Karkala.”

“Congress leaders Veerappa Moily, KPCC president Dhruva Narayan, former minister Abhayachandra Jain, Vinay Kumar Sorake, state youth congress president Mohammed Harris Nalapad and others will take part. The  programme will conclude at Bandimat,” he said.

Leaders Prabhakar Bangera, Rameez Hussain, Saurabha Ballal, Yogish Acharya, Guruprasad Herur, Shabarish Suvarna, Preeti Salins and others were present.
