Bantwal, Oct 29: A 60-year-old man ended his life by hanging himself under Vittal police limits.
The deceased is identified as Balu Poojary, a resident of Padibagilu in Alike village was a chronic alcoholic who hanged himself at a hillock near his house, reports said.
It is said that three years ago Balu had consumed poisonous substance Peradon and undergone treatment at Wenlock Hospital before his recovery.
He is survived by three daughters and three sons.
Vittal police have registered a case.
