Udupi, Oct 31: The Deputy Commissioner has relaxed the auto permit limits considering the growing traffic and the well being of the citizens.
All the autorickshaws with Udupi address and with permits issued by the RTO secretary between February 1, 2012 and June 30, 2022 can run anywhere in the Udupi corporation limits. However the autorickshaws whose permits were issued after July 1, 2022 have been barred from entering the corporation limits.
All the autorickshaws which have got permits issued in Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala before September 30, 2022 can run as usual.
The autorickshaws which have been issued permits after October 1, 2022 can run only in their respective taluks, stated deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M in a press release.
