Udupi, Nov 2: A lover of Kannada celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava in unique style.

Mohammed Imtiyaz, resident of Kemmannu is the one who provided free literature book and boat riding for tourists who arrived to see the hanging bridge of Kemmannu.

Imtiyaz loves literature. He is an avid reader. He bought biographies of Bendre, Kuvempu, Jawaharlal Nehru and Gandhiji and distributed the same to the tourists. He founded Water Adventures Kemmannu and provides free boat riding in Suvarna river.

In 2020, when Suvarna river flooded during Monsoon, three brothers, Intiyaz, Illyas and Suhail had saved 242 families in their Kayaking boats. The then deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha had appreciated the work and felicitated them with district Rajyotsava award.

Mohammed Imtiyaz Kemmannu says, “There is prime importance for celebrating the culture of our land. So I thought of celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava in unique style and distributed books on great achievers and scientists to tourists. This is my effort to spread the knowledge of Kannada.”
