Bantwal, Nov 5: It has come to light on Saturday that the house of former panchayat president Harish Acharya was completely damaged in lightning. However there was no loss of life. The child of Harish Acharya and their aged parents Appu Acharya couple have still not come out of the shock.

The lightning struck the tree behind the house in the heavy rain that lashed here on Friday night. Meanwhile the electric gadgets in the house and the bathroom were gutted. The house people were stunned to see the burning of their electric fans and electric items. Cracks have developed on the walls and tiled roof causing fear of a collapse.
