20 sheep, 1 goat for Kurubas under Rs 358 cr Amrit Kurigahi Scheme

Bengaluru, Nov 13: In yet another step to woo the sizeable Kuruba community ahead of next year year’s assembly polls, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday announced Amrit Kurigahi scheme for distribution of 20 sheep and 1 goat to each Kuruba or sheep rearer at a cost of Rs 354 crore.

The Chief Minister was felicitated by BJP MLC Adaguru Vishwanath on behalf of the Karnataka State Cooperative Sheep and Goat Rears’ Federation.

Minister H M Revanna and Federation President Sharanu B Thallikeri, Vice Presidnt Kashinath Hudeda and all directors were part of the delegation.

    I grow goats on my farm, which is on top of a steep hill. Can I apply both as a Kuruba and a Girijan? Would appreciate help and advice on this.. Thanks.
