Seminars held at Bantwal taluk’s 22nd Kannada Sahithya Sammelana

Bantwal, Nov 13: “Importance should be given to culture and literature in education policy. Only then, intelligence and emotional development is possible,” said retired Prof Shridhar K Alike.

He was delivering the presidential address during a seminar held on the topic 'society, literature and education' at Bantwal taluk's 22nd Kannada Sahithya Sammelana held at Ammunje aided higher primary school in Ammunje Guttu Patel Shankar Shetty stage on Sunday November 13.

He was speaking on the topic society, literature and education during the seminar.

Speaking in the seminar, Thumbe degree college principal KN Ganghadhar Alva said, "Empowerment is the basic essence of education. Students should develop skills. Let the new education policy create a way for a new change.”

Education co-ordinator K Sujathakumari and Anusuyia Eshwarchandra also presented papers.

Convention president Prof Balakrishna Gatti and others were present.
