Modi to participate in Hubballi Youth Festival on Jan 12, says CM

Bengaluru, Jan 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Hubballi on January 12 afternoon to participate in the National Youth Festival, according to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Monday, Januray 9, he said it was a great moment for Karnataka that the prime minister is arriving on January 12 afternoon to participate in the National Youth Festival.

The 7-day national youth festival is being attended by delegates from 28 States and 8 Union territories, Bommai said.

The Chief Minister said the prime minister will be arriving in Karnataka again on January 19 to dedicate the Narayanapura Left Bank Canal modernisation work jointly undertaken by the Centre and the State Government.

Though a Banjara community convention is also being held on January 19 at Kalburgi, the prime minister’s participation is yet to be officially confirmed, Bommai added.
