Bantwal, Jan 18: “Congress has divided the society on the basis of religion,” said minister Dr Ashwath Narayan.

He was speaking at the valedictory meeting of the five-day long rally by foot under the leadership of MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu.

Prime minister Modi-led government has protected the unity of the country despite Covid, floods and drought, he claimed.

The Congress party is speaking about corruption when it has nurtured the same, he alleged.

Minister B C Nagesh said that it was praiseworthy that MLA Rajesh Naik had brought more funds for development in his constituency. Minister Angara said that the power went to the hands of Congress due to propaganda and BJP’s work did not reach the people.

BJP mandala president Devappa Poojary presided over the programme.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kothari welcomed. Grama Vikas Yatre convener Devadas Shetty and Rajesh Kothari Golthamajalu compered the programme. Mandala vice president Vajranath Kalladka proposed a vote of thanks.
