Kundapur, Jan 19: Kundapur block Congress president H Hariprasad Shetty has written to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge to review before accepting the resignation of K Pratapchandra Shetty, former chairman of Karnataka Legislative council.

He stated that the resignation of Pratapchandra Shetty who was a four-time MLA, three-time member MLC and chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council has made him sad. The resignation is likely to affect Udupi district in view of the elections, he stated.

As K Pratapchandra Shetty is a popular leader who boldly campaigns for the issues in the district, his resignation should be reviewed before accepting it, he stated.
