Bantwal, Jan 21: “Kisan Samman project has come about without submitting applications. As many as 53 lac families in the state have benefited by it and it is the pride of the union and state governments,” said Kota Srinivas Poojary, minister of social welfare and backward class progress. He was speaking in the seventh day hall programme ‘Grama Vikas Yatre – Gramadedege Shasakara Nadige’ in front of Sarapady temple on January 20.
“Our government has brought about the Vidyasiri project for the children of weavers, farmers and fishermen. It is being announced for children of 12 lac tailors. The chief minister has spent Rs 165 crore for increased salary of gram panchayat members.”
“The might of the country was proved during the Russia-Ukraine war when war was stopped for the safety of students when the flag of India was shown. The mentality of Congress can be understood when it justifies the cooker bomb explosion at Mangaluru. We proudly say that MLA Rajesh Naik stands by all groups of people. Next elections will be between national security, nationalism and terrorism. There is peace and tranquillity at Bantwal as terrorism is not supported,” he said.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik said project works worth Rs 1,935 crores are implemented at Bantwal. Rs 80 crores have been received from the account of minister Kota Srinivas Poojary. “Rs one crore are approved for the community auditorium of four communities but some more amount is needed,” he requested Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Keonics president Harikrishna Bantwal said that an Rs 1,900 crore package was received for the first time in the history of Bantwal politics. Nobody can stop MLA Rajesh Naik from winning the next elections with more than 25,000 votes, he said.
Former MLA K Padmanabha Kothary, BJP president Devappa Poojary, foot rally convener Devadas Shenoy, co convener Madhava Mave, Sudarshan Baja, former district panchayat member M Tungappa Bangera, Sarapady gram panchayat president Leelavati Dharnappa Poojary, municipal council member Shashikala, Rekha Pai and Meenakshi Devaki were present.
Sarapady gram panchayat member Dhananjay Shetty welcomed. Sudarshan Baja rendered a vote of thanks. Bantwal BJP block chief secretary Dombaya Arala compered the programme.
The eighth day’s rally started from Iliyoor Mahavishnu temple, Sarapady on January 21. MLA Rajesh Naik who stayed at the residence of BJP activist Guruvappa Naik of Maninalkuru village at night visited the Mahvishnu temple with hundreds of activists and started the rally in the morning.
