Udupi, Jan 22: A one-day free health checkup camp was organised by Girija Healthcare and Surgicals in association with Senior Citizens' Association, Navodaya Self Help Groups and Udupi District Auto Rickshaw Drivers and Owners' Association, Janamitra Grama One Center, Tenkanidiyoor and Adi Udupi, and Senior Chamber, Udupi Temple City Legion.
Sadananda Hegde, president senior citizens association inaugurated the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ranjitha S Nayak, OBG specialist said, "I want to thank Ravindra Shetty of Girija Group of Concerns and all the associations who have supported this cause. More and more people should take the benefit of this program".
Addressing the gathering Dr Deepa Nayak, senior physiotherapist, Physiocare, said, "Physiotherapy is a treatment which heals hidden pains. Physiotherapy helps in maintaining the health in simple terms. How active a person is says how healthy they are."
Dr Arun Shetty K, dermotologist, Dr Ritika Salyan, psychiatrist, Jagadish Kemmannu, president, Senior Chamber, Udupi Temple City Legion, Suresh Amin, president, Udupi District Auto Association, Ravindra Shetty, proprietor, Girija Healthcare and Surgicals were present.
The free health checkup camp included free consultation including physiotherapy, ECG, blood pressure, diabetes, blood, urine tests and medicine distribution.
