Beltangady, Jan 26: A man accidentally fell into Vagi river near Kolambe of Charmady village and lost his life.
Dharnappa Poojary (50), resident of Kolambe Pade Mane, is the deceased.
He was returning home after buying groceries from Kakkinje market on January 23. Dharnappa fell accidentally into the river while crossing it.
Locals who saw Dharnappa falling into the river, jumped into the river and brought him up. After administering first aid, he was rushed to hospital in Mangaluru. However, he succumbed on Wednesday morning.
A case in this connection is filed in Dharmasthala police station.
