Mangaluru, Jan 31: Youth JD(S) of Dakshina Kannada held black flag protest near Circuit House in the city against MP and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, under the leadership of Akshit Suvarna, president of youth JD(S), against his derogatory comments on the family of JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda.

Addressing the protesters, Akshit said, “The behaviour of Nalin Kumar Kateel, who has spoken cheaply about the family of Deve Gowda, who had made name in state and national politics, is condemnable. Nalin might have forgotten the contribution of Deve Gowda as a prime minister but people still remember.

“Nalin Kumar Kateel, who has not even given one part of the service that the Deve Gowda family has given to this nation, does not have the moral right to speak lowly about Deve Gowda and his family. Except buying Congress and JD(S) MLAs and forming government through illicit and backdoor method, there is no other achievement of state BJP government. He should tender apology to Deve Gowda immediately. Otherwise in coming days, we will hold black flag in all the functions in which Nalin Kumar Kateel will participate,” he said.

Rathish Karkera, district organizing secretary, Mohammed Asif, district vice president, Hitesh Rai, district chief secretary, Sattar Bandaru, south constituency president, youth office bearers Nithesh Poojary, Vinay, Gautam, Vineet, Rinit, Nishant, Gaganish, Pradeep Kirtik, Pavan, Dhanush, Sushant, Vinay, Jayadeep and Dhanush Poojary were present.
