Udupi, Feb 4: With a view to prevent crimes in the city, Udupi police have begun a unique 'Safe Udupi' plan with the cooperation of public and institutions.
A meeting was held at the Jagannath Sabha Bhavan of Badgabettu Society Udupi on Saturday, February 4 to launch the Safe Udupi project by Sign-In security organization in collaboration with the police department to prevent crime in the city.
Under the direction of Udupi district superintendent of police Akshay Hawke Machindra, the police of Udupi city station held this meeting with the public. In the meeting, opinions were obtained from various entrepreneurs and associations.
Krishna of Sign in Security said that the CCTVs of the organizations and enterprises participating in this project will be monitored from the point of view of security at night and information about any theft and other incidents will be given immediately to prevent any such act.
Udupi DySP Dinkar, Udupi town police station police inspector Manjappa, sub-inspector Mahesh and office bearers of various organizations including of the city including representatives of temples, mosques and churches were present in the meeting.
