Beltangady, Feb 6: There is a special place for Daivaradhane in the coast. A large number of devotees pray to deities in Tulunadu. A rare Gaggara Seve for Navaguliga Daivas was held in the district.
The devotion to Guliga Daiva is a special attraction in the coastal region. Looking at the costumes and the excitement of the deities is thrilling. The unique devotion to Nava Guliga Daiva was seen at Durgaparameshwari Navaguliga temple, Barkaje, Nittede village, Beltangady.
The seve is performed only once a day. The seve for nine deities was conducted this year as part of the eighth annual festival. Thousands of devotees watched the amazing event.
There is an abode for the Nava Guligas in front of the abode of Durgaparameshwari. Nemotsava used to be held only for one daiva in the past. It was found during the Prashna Chintane that Navaguliga Daiva is stationed here. Therefore, Gaggara Seve is being held here since the last three years as part of the fair and festival.
The Nava Guliga Daivas protect the temple and relieve the devotees from their difficulties. Devotees from other districts also visit here, pray and get their blessings.
