Mangaluru: Silver jubilee thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration held at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru, Feb 11: The silver jubilee inauguration of Lourdes Central School (LCS) began with the thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration on Friday, February 10 in the school ground. The priests of neighbouring parishes, nuns, Bejai parishoners, Catholic parents, students and well-wishers were present on the occasion.

The main celebran Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore and president of the Catholic Board of Education was greeted with a traditional welcome by the ‘24 Angels’ of LCS. After the Mass, Dr John Baptist Saldanha, the manager of Lourdes Central School welcomed the bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha.

The Bishop unveiled the logo of silver jubilee of LCS. This was followed by the theme song sung by the school choir. The bishop delivered his message and said, "We all must strive to walk in the path of virtues of our Lady of Lourdes." He urged all concerned to impart education along with Compassion, Closeness and Tenderness (CCT). The bishop appreciated the manager, principal, management committee, teachers and children for their contribution in spreading values and peace through knowledge to the society.

Fr Robert DSouza, the principal, LCS proposed the vote of thanks.
