Kundapur. Feb 13: Sri Sri Sri Swami Sripada Avadhutajee of Belgaum Math said that it is commendable to celebrate the Independence Day in Basrur through the Shobhayatra of Shivaji Maharaj, who preserved and nurtured the future of Basrur. He was speaking after inaugurating the Basrur Independence Day celebrations organized by Sri Chhatrapati Shivaji Fan Club, Basrur on Monday, February 13 in the grounds opposite Sri Devi Temple, Basrur. Kivimathu said that progress can be achieved by any organization through connection, communication and building relationships.

Srikanth Shetty Dikshuchi also spoke on the occasion.

Basrur Sri Mahtobara Mahalingeshwara Temple Dharmadarshi B Appanna Hegde presided. Organizing general secretary of Bharatiya Sanatan Sabha Dr. Sandeepraj Mahadevarao Mahind Pune and professor, member of Indian History Research Council M Kotresh werer present. Before the program, a procession was held in decorated boats from Gangolli to Basrur Mandikeri through the stream gate to the ground opposite the Sri Devi temple with the statue of Shivaji on a horse.
President of Chhatrapati Shivaji Fan Club Umesh Acharya introduced and welcomed. Narrated by Sarika Ashok. Rakesh saluted the lower house.
