Udupi: Bike rider injured in bike-car collision succumbs to injuries

Udupi, Feb 14: The bike rider, who was seriously injured in the head on collision of bike and car that occurred on Sunday near Sharada Kalyana Mantapa at Kunjibettu on NH 169 A, succumbed on Monday.

The deceased is identified as Damodar Shettigar, a resident of Doddanagudde. He was running a garage at Kunjibettu. He was going to Mahishamardini temple to take darshan of the Goddess at around 5.30 am on Sunday, while the car that was speeding towards Manipal hit his bike.

Locals had admitted Damodar to Manipal hospital. But he succumbed to injuries on Monday. He is survived by wife and two children.
