Kundapur: Rider dies on spot in bike-pickup vehicle collision

Kundapur, Feb 14: A bike rider was killed on the spot as a pick-up vehicle collided with his two wheeler at Jannal Meljaddu of Kunjadi village under Kollur police station limits on Monday evening.

The deceased is identified as Prajwal Shetty (26), a resident of Harman.

Prajwal was working as supervisor in a farm. On Monday at around 5 pm, after finishing off his duty, he was going towards Harman on his bike. A pick up van driven by Yathish approached from the opposite side and collided head-on with the bike driven by Prajwal. Due to the impact of the collision, helmet worn by Prajwal came off his head and he was thrown on the road and received grievous head injury and died on the spot.

Locals Hosur Sundar Shetty and others shifted the mortal remains to the hospital. A case in this regard is registered in Kollur police station.
