Kundapur, Feb 18: “The government is releasing several grants for the backward communities. It is possible to achieve success in industry through dedication and experience. Equipment like sewing machines are given to get self-employment. Let everyone get the opportunity to work as per the idea of Dr Ambedkar,” said Kota Srinivas Poojary, minister for backward communities’ welfare.

Poojary spoke after inaugurating the first of its kind Ganga Kalyan scheme at the house of Kusuma of Hombadi Mundadi. Kota Srinivas Poojary was felicitated on the occasion.

Hombadi Mundadi gram panchayat president Satish Madiwala, vice president Savita D Nayak, local social justice standing committee president Radha, district Ambedkar development corporation manager Shankar, district coordinator of Lidkar Venkatesh and Mescom assistant chief executive officer Vijayakumar were present.

Ramesh Kumar compered the event. Raghavendra Varathanekar welcomed the gathering.
