Deloitte invites nominations for Tech Fast 50 awards


New Delhi, July 13 (IANS) Deloitte, one of the leading audit and consultancy firms, Wednesday said it has started nomination for the 7th edition of its Tech Fast 50 awards that ranks the 50 fastest growing technology companies in India. Nomination for the award is open till Aug 19.

"The rankings recognise the sustained growth of the Indian technology industry, especially in smaller segments," Deloitte India senior director P.N. Sudarshan said.

"This year is going to be a landmark year for Deloitte Tech Fast 50 awards. We have been successfully conducting these awards for six years now and have seen sustained interest among the Indian companies for this programme," he said.

Tech Fast 50 was initiated by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Private Limited in 2005 in line with the regional programmes in other parts of the globe - Deloitte Technology Fast 500, which is well established in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia, that recognises the world's fastest growing and dynamic technology companies.

Amongst others, one of the important eligibility criterion for the program is that the operating revenues of the company must be at least $50,000 in the first year of the three years being analysed and the company must be headquartered in India. Subsidiaries of company are not eligible to enroll unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded, Deloitte said in a statement.
